Kuna Pelješka
Settlement in a centreal inland part of the Pelješac peninsula; 357 m above the sea level. In XIX. century Dubrovnik Republic builds kaštel Gučetić and first church of St. Stjepan on the cemetery (rebuilt in the late XIX. century). Church of Our Lady of Loret (1681.) is the most monumental baroque building of the Dubrovnik area outside Dubrovnik itself. In the church there are marble altairs of Brutapelle family and paintings of Celestin Medović. Alongside the church a Franciscan monastery was built in 1705. In the birth house of Celestin Medović there is a large collection of paintings, and there is a monument to the painter in the town, work of Fran Kršinić. On the northern side is Crkvice, former port for wine trade, today a bathing resort. Accommodation searchIMPORTANT: the Orebić Tourist Board does not mediate in reservations of accommodation.
